The National Agriculture and Trade Show 2022
The National Agriculture and Trade Show was establishment in 1970. After a two-year hiatus, the NATS 2022 was held on May 27, 28, and 29, 2022 under the theme “Innovations in technology: Driving a Climate Resilient and Competitive Agriculture and Food Sector”.
The Agriculture Showgrounds spreads over 60 acres on the banks of the Roaring Creek at the entrance to the City Of Belmopan.
The event divides the showgrounds into three zones. One strictly for agriculture and no alcohol consumption. Another strictly for family, kids and mechanical rides with no alcohol consumption. And another free-for-all-commercial and rumfest zone.
The NATS 2022 Farmers of The Year are: Male Farmer of the Year – Orlando Ek – Corozal District, Female Farmer of the Year – Mrs. Norma Figueroa – Cayo District, Junior Farmer of the Year – Mr. Darwin Orellana – Belize District.
More than 27,000 persons attended the National Agriculture and Trade Show (NATS) over the weekend, including 26,753 paying persons and invited guests.
Belagro’s participation at this show is never for profit, more to reach out to the wider Belizean community to let them know about BELAGRO and give back in some small way to the Belizean agriculture community.
